By using the Platform or making any purchase, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. This Policy should be read together with our Terms and Conditions.

Information Provided by Parents:

  • Parent’s name, email address, shipping address, and phone number (if provided).

  • Payment information (processed securely by Wix Payments, PayPal, or other supported processors — we do not store full credit card details).

  • Child’s first name or username for personalization.

  • Subscription and purchase details, including:

    • The Buddy or The Mini (including production charge and recurring subscription)

    • Adoption Subscription

    • Add A Buddy subscription

    • BuddyBucks redemptions (printables, stickers, shirts/hoodies via Printful, physical buddies, or Mystery Boxes)

Information Collected Through Use:

  • Usage data: activities completed, BuddyBucks earned and spent, journal entries (private), spin-the-wheel results, and interactions with learning content.

  • Technical data: IP address, device type, browser information, and cookies (used for functionality and basic analytics).

User-Generated Content:

  • Private journal/diary entries created by the child. These are stored privately and are not public or moderated by us.

We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts independently. We do not sell personal information.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information to:

  • Create and manage accounts

  • Process payments and recurring subscriptions (The Buddy, The Mini, Adoption, Add A Buddy)

  • Ship physical items (Buddies, Minis, stickers, Mystery Box rewards)

  • Provide and personalize the educational content and BuddyBucks rewards

  • Communicate about subscriptions, renewals, and shipping

  • Improve the Platform and ensure safety

3. Sharing of Information

We share information only as necessary:

  • With service providers (payment processors, shipping carriers, Printful for shirts/hoodies, hosting providers) who are contractually required to protect data.

  • To comply with legal obligations.

  • In the event of a business transfer.

We do not sell personal data.

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

The Platform is directed at children ages 3–12. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  • Only parents may create and manage accounts.

  • Account creation with payment serves as verifiable parental consent for the collection and use of information necessary to provide the Service.

  • Parents may review, delete, or request cessation of collection of their child’s personal information at any time by contacting us.

We use reasonable security measures to protect information. However, no system is completely secure. Parents are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential.

We are based in Nebraska, USA. Data may be transferred to and processed in the United States. Users in the EU/UK or California may have additional rights (access, deletion, etc.). Contact us to exercise these rights.

You may:

  • Access or delete your child’s information

  • Cancel subscriptions and request account deletion

  • Opt out of non-essential communications
